No Luka, no problem. The Dallas Mavericks continue to win- and in a big way, too – despite losing star guard Luka Doncic to an ankle injury last week.
Dallas dominated the Philadelphia 76ers last night en route to a 117-98 win and added them to the list of powerhouses they have taken down on the road this season.
While they have rattled off some impressive road wins so far, Mavericks head coach Rick Carlisle didn't want to read much into it, per Eddie Sefko of Mavs.com.

“We just got to go day to day,” Rick Carlisle said of the Mavericks’ road prowess. “People are a little too wrapped up in it. We just got to work on playing great basketball.
“The fact we’ve had some success on the road should be a great confidence builder. At some point, we got to pick it up at home. But right now, we got one road game left before Christmas and that’s where our sights are set. The Most important thing is playing hard.”
Last night's win over the Sixers follows up a massive stunner over the best team in the league, the Milwaukee Bucks. Milwaukee entered Monday night with all the momentum in the world, having won 18 straight. But that did not stop Dallas, which entered without their best player, in pulling off the upset.
Prior to that, Dallas – still with Doncic – also knocked off a surging Los Angeles Lakers squad, ending the 10-game winning streak they had at that time.
There's still no specific timetable on when Doncic will be back, but it appears like he isn't going to miss much time. With the way Dallas is playing right now without him, though, there's no need for the Slovenian Sensation to rush his return.
