To describe the lopsided victory the Dallas Mavericks enjoyed against the Golden State Warriors is one of the biggest understatements you can say. Luka Doncic was all over the ball as this terribly weakened Warriors team was under the Mavs guard's mercy. He finished with another incredible triple-double of 35 points, 10 rebounds, and 11 assists. The most astonishing thing fact about this feat that's becoming a norm with him? He did it all in under three-quarters of basketball.
You would be forgiven if your jaw dropped to the floor with that knowledge. Even head coach Rick Carlisle can't believe the kind of magic Luka has been performing through his sophomore campaign.
He talked with the media after their 94-142 triumph, and he was inevitably asked about his point forward's performance. He said all the right things the media wanted to hear: he's impressed with what the Slovenian superstar is doing.

“He’s doing it without disrupting team flow, which is unique,” Carlisle said, per Callie Caplan. “He’s a very special player on a special run. … This is not big news. It’s getting to be pretty normal, but you can’t take anything for granted.”
Doncic is averaging a near triple-double this season, making his stat sheet look like it belongs to a MyPlayer an NBA 2K game. His 29.5 points, 10.7 rebounds, and 9.3 assists on 48% shooting make him one of the most dangerous players in the league. Even LeBron James recognizes him as a bad man. His performance also allows Kristaps Porzingis to recover at his own pace.
Of course, no run lasts forever, and this hot streak can end any time soon. However, that will not stop Mavs fans from celebrating. They have a superstar so soon after losing Dirk Nowitzki, and that's enough reason to celebrate.
