The face of Under Armour basketball, Stephen Curry, welcomed the brand's new signing, Dennis Smith Jr. of the Dallas Mavericks, who is fresh off inking a $2 million per year deal with the athletic apparel company.
The Golden State Warriors point guard has been the driving force for the company crossing over from its prominence in football to basketball during the past few years as Curry has enjoyed rising popularity with his back-to-back MVP success.

Smith will join a select family of basketball players under the Baltimore-paved brand along with Emmanuel Mudiay, Patty Mills, Kent Bazemore, and fellow rookie Josh Jackson.

The North Carolina State product has attended some of the Under Armour camps, some of which were led by Curry — making him already a familiar face within the brand.
While UA is still ways away from the popularity of Nike, Jordan, and Adidas, it is slowly rising to become a powerhouse in the basketball world just like it rose to be one of the favorite brands in football.
Smith figures to be one of the dark horse candidates for Rookie of the Year after a tantalizing display in the Summer League, making this another score of a sign for the brand.
