Andre Drummond enjoyed a breakout campaign last year as he led the Detroit Pistons’ return to the postseason after years of mediocrity.

They now boast of a young and promising roster that figures to contend in the Eastern Conference for years to come. Meanwhile, the burly, yet athletic, center has his eyes set on further establishing his reputation in the paint.

In Keith Langlois’ article for NBA.com, Drummond talked about his personal goal this coming season.

“I’m going to win the rebounding crown again. I’m going for it – no doubt about it.”

The center out of Connecticut lorded it on the boards over everyone last season, with a 14.8 per game average. He also managed to score 16.2 points while being a pest on the other end by virtue of his 1.5 steals and 1.4 blocks per night.

With this particular motivation in mind, expect Drummond to pick up from where he left off last season.
