Griffin's comments came after a sorry 110-107 loss against the rebuilding Charlotte Hornets on Friday.
Detroit had a chance to get back on the win column with an eight-point lead at home with 5:25 remaining. However, the Pistons squandered the opportunity, allowing Charlotte to go on a 15-4 run to close the game.
The Pistons currently sit at 11th in the early goings of the season. They dropped to 6-13 with their latest defeat, and have now lost eight of their last 10.
Still, it's a long season and the Pistons are in the Eastern Conference. Despite their record, Detroit is just 1.5 games behind the no. 8 seed. However, with nearly a quarter of the 2019-20 season in the books, they must turn it around as soon as possible.
Griffin and the Pistons had high hopes to take the next step this season especially after a promising campaign in 2018-19. Only time will tell if they can eventually right the ship and make another postseason push this year.
