Detroit Pistons veteran forward Blake Griffin is currently dealing with a rather concerning knee injury. It has just been confirmed that the 30-year-old is questionable to play on Monday, as the team takes on the Washington Wizards.

It is also worth noting that Griffin reportedly had an MRI done on his injured knee, but as of the moment, the Pistons have yet to disclose the results of the same.

This is not sounding too good for Griffin and the Pistons, as this is also the same knee that required surgery last season. For some reason, the six-time All-Star has been unable to get it going this season thus far, and perhaps this knee issue has had an effect on his sub-par play of late.
On Saturday, Griffin was unable to take the floor for the second half of his team's victory against the Houston Rockets. Detroit initially labeled it as knee soreness, so the fact that he had to get an MRI seems to imply that there's more to this than just a minor, negligible issue.
The Pistons have had a so-so start to the new season, and are currently in possession of an 11-15 record. At the moment, they are sitting at ninth place in the Eastern Conference, so at this point, a spot in the playoffs is certainly still well within reach.
The potential loss of Griffin, however, will definitely serve as a huge blow for Detroit and their postseason aspirations, so hopefully, the former first overall pick is able to recover from this lingering issue sooner rather than later.
