Detroit Pistons power forward Blake Griffin was once again the catalyst during his team's victory, this win coming Saturday over the Cleveland Cavaliers when Griffin collected a balanced line of 14 points, nine assists and seven rebounds. He saw just 26 minutes of action due to the nature of Detroit's blowout victory, which impressed Griffin.
“We put together a really solid game, offensively, defensively,” said Griffin, according to ESPN. “The ball was moving. We played the right brand of basketball. I know I keep saying that, but we've been on a much better streak regardless of wins or losses.”
That brand of basketball has the Pistons trending in the right direction, as they have now won four of their last five and eight of their last 10 games. The team has not been at the .500 mark since Dec. 26, but a win in their next contest Sunday against Toronto will get them back to that mark. Even with their seesaw performance this season, the team currently holds the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference.

Averaging a career-high 25.5 points per game, Griffin has seen his game evolve during his age-29 campaign, shooting from long range more than ever before, knocking down 2.5 makes from deep on a nightly basis.
Things haven't followed a neat trajectory for the Pistons in 2018-19, but with Griffin on the same page as the rest of his developing squad, Detroit appears to be hitting their pinnacle at when it's needed most.
