Detroit Pistons rookie Cade Cunningham and Houston Rockets rookie Jalen Green will forever be tied to one another. Being selected as the first and second picks overall will do that.
That's why the Pistons-Rockets showdown in Las Vegas doesn't feel like just your ordinary NBA Summer League matchup. It could very well be the first of dozens of epic matchups between Cunningham and Green.
So far through their first quarter of action, the Pistons star has gotten the better end of a couple of head-to-head players. Check out Cade's cold triple right in Jalen Green's grill to get himself on the board.

Cunningham's defensive impact was visible, too. The Pistons guard tormented Green on a couple of possessions on the other side of the floor. He even picked off a pass intended for Green, and proceeded to body him right to the cup for a grown man bucket.

Although it's only summer league, the talent from Cade Cunningham is just oozing out of him. He had a relatively rough first game but still looks like a confident playmaker that has all the tools to become a true star. Pistons fans just need to sit back and enjoy this first season with their potential franchise player.
