Pistons All-Star power forward Blake Griffin says Detroit “feels like home now” and that he's excited about the challenge of getting the franchise back to the playoffs.

The Pistons acquired Blake Griffin last season from the LA Clippers. Griffin says the trade and getting acclimated to a new organization and city was a whirlwind for him, but that is all over now as he is fully settled into the Motor City.

“This feels like home,” Blake Griffin said, via Keith Langlois of NBA.com. “Last year was such a whirlwind. Even at the end of the season, I wasn’t acclimated, wasn’t adjusted yet.

“But it feels like home now. I’ve really come to be very, very fond of Michigan and the fans, the people, everything, top to bottom, the organization. So I’m settled in.”

Griffin is putting up stellar numbers this season for the Pistons. The high-flyer is averaging a career-high 26.5 points per game, while also grabbing 8.1 rebounds and dishing out 5.2 assists. Griffin is shooting 48.2 percent from the field, 36.5 percent from beyond the arc and 76.0 percent from the free-throw line.

Despite Griffin's heroics, Detroit is only 21-27 on the season, ninth place in the Eastern Conference standings. The Pistons haven't made the postseason since 2016, but Griffin is going to do whatever it takes to change that this season. He just needs more help from his teammates.
