Golden State Warriors center Kevon Looney will likely play in Game 6 of the 2019 NBA Finals on Thursday.

Looney was seen grimacing in pain in Game 5 on Monday, and was still obviously feeling the effect of his broken collarbone. The 23-year-old center eventually sat out late in the game, which fueled speculations that he might be done for the series, but the former UCLA standout has other plans in mind.

According to Mark Medina of The Mercury News, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr revealed that Looney is doing “decently” heading into Game 6. The three-time NBA champion head coach said that the fourth-year center will “give it a go” against the Toronto Raptors in the crucial match at the Oracle Arena.

Looney, who missed Game 3 after breaking his collarbone in the previous game, has been a decent contributor for the Warriors in the finals, providing better mobility for the center spot on both ends of the floor.

In four games, he averaged 5.8 points and 3.3 rebounds in 19.0 minutes per game. In Game 5, he posted four points and three boards.

The Warriors need all the help that they can, as they are trying to come back from a 2-3 deficit. They managed to extend the series after a 106-105 win in Game 5.

The win came at a cost, though, as they lost Kevin Durant to a ruptured Achilles in the second quarter of the match.
