The Golden State Warriors brought back Andre Iguodala on a minimum deal this past summer, and although he has missed a bunch of games, the deal has still been a success. Unfortunately, the 38-year-old last played Jan. 20 against the Indiana Pacers. A lingering knee injury bothered him earlier this season that wound up causing other issues, including a hip injury that currently has him out.

Iguodala gave an update on how he's feeling during a press conference on Thursday. While his knee is feeling better, Iguodala admitted this has been a “weird” experience.”

“The knee is good. The knee was something that's never happened to me before, and it kind of set me back,” Iguodala told ClutchPoints. “It was just weird. Then the things that I've been struggling with over the last five years in my career, started to creep back up once the knee got better because I took time away from it trying to get the knee better. It was just a chain reaction of bad events, and we're working it all out.”

The three-time NBA champion has appeared in 25 games this season. The Warriors veteran is averaging 4.2 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.9 assists off the bench. Iguodala has been a pivotal part of the team's defense and averages just under a steal and block per game.

When Iguodala talked about his knee problem, he gave details on the swelling that has troubled him this season.

“I never have swelling from fluid like that, in that manner. I've probably only got drained twice in my career,” Iguodala explained. “Then I was drained numerous amounts of times during like a six-week span. Was just kind of crazy.”

Thursday night, the Warriors are at home against their California neighbor, the Sacramento Kings. The Dubs are on a seven-game winning streak and are looking to make it eight straight.
