Monday night, the Golden State Warriors were blown out by the Ja Morant-less Memphis Grizzlies. They were without Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green, but it was the first game back from injury for the second-oldest player in the NBA, Andre Iguodala.

The one-time Finals MVP spoke to the media after the disappointing loss, and he had a message for the team about Curry’s return.

“One thing we have to do is be smart about how we start to implement guys because Steph’s out, and you can't replace that,” Warriors veteran Andre Iguodala told ClutchPoints. “He's one of the top players ever. You don't want to rush him back or put too much pressure on him. That's how you get another injury.”

The 38-year-old played in 27 games this season. Before Monday's game, the last time he played was February 7th. Iguodala played about six minutes that night, and before that, he made an appearance on Jan 20th. The same injury kept the Bay Area legend sidelined for a large chunk of the season.

“That's kind of what happened to me all year trying to rush back,” Iguodala. “So trying to be smart about it, try to hold down the fort, and interesting enough, we're going to have to use the playoffs to get better too. This is just the situation.”

It's a chance that Curry will return to the lineup soon, but will they follow Iguodala’s advice, or will he play big minutes and save the Warriors' season. It's a lot at stake this season, and managing the players' health is the biggest conundrum.
