Golden State Warriors forward Andre Iguodala has hinted once again that he will retire soon.

Iguodala told Marc Stein of the New York Times that he feels he can still play four or five more years in the NBA. However, he quickly added that he will no longer play that long, saying that he will “soon” call it quits.

The 35-year-old forward is still under contract until after the 2019-20 NBA season, and there is a growing belief that he will retire after that.

“I have a good idea how much longer I want to play,” Iguodala said. “I’m keeping it to myself, but it’s going to be soon. I can play four or five more years. But I won't.”

Iguodala started his career as the new face of the Philadelphia 76ers franchise when Allen Iverson was dealt to another team. But while he spent eight seasons in Philadelphia, he will always be remembered for his stint with the star-studded Golden State Warriors, with whom he won three championships in the last four seasons.

In Golden State's championship runs in the last four years, the Arizona native has been their main man tasked to defend the best player of the opposing teams. Warriors fans will also have fond memories of him for being clutch, which he recently proved once again when he hit a 3-point dagger in Game 2 of the 2019 NBA Finals.
