The Golden State Warriors are once again up 3-0 on the Cleveland Cavaliers, putting them at the verge of elimination for a second consecutive year at the biggest stage, the NBA Finals.

And while this series has been rather smooth ride for this team, Kevin Durant suggests the Warriors will need to play perhaps their best game yet to sweep the Cavs, cutting off any possibility of a potential comeback.

“We don't want to play with the gods like that,” Kevin Durant said after Wednesday's 110-102 win, according to Marc J. Spears of The Undefeated. “We want to come out here and play our best game and just respect the game. Everybody has that mindset. I'm not worried about that. We want to come out, respect the game and try to win this thing.”

The Warriors will need to be respectful of the game, but also carry a mean streak with them, seeking every opportunity to step on the throat of their opponents in order to steal another road game and secure their place in the history books with a second straight title and the third in the last four years.

Durant is expecting the Cavaliers to come out swinging early in the game once again in Game 4.

“They are going to come out with a flurry,” Kevin Durant said. “The crowd is going to be into it. LeBron [James] is going to try to will them to victory. Rodney Hood played great [Wednesday night], so he is going to build off of that.”

The Warriors were able to take the Cavaliers' best punch in the first half, keeping the game well into striking distance, dealing their usual counterpunch in the third quarter, gaining an eight-point differential, which they would ride onto the end of regulation.

Durant's 43 points kept the Warriors afloat while the All-Star backcourt of Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson struggled to keep their high-scoring ways on the road.
