Golden State Warriors injured center DeMarcus Cousins was ejected by referee Scott Foster Friday night at Madison Square Garden while on the bench. Cousins is still recovering from his Achilles injury, but has been traveling with the team.

According to Marc J. Spears of The Undefeated, DeMarcus Cousins and New York Knicks big man Enes Kanter talked trash to each other on the court hours before the game during pregame workouts. The NBA got wind of it and let the referees know to watch out for Cousins during the game.

Cont: Draymond Green to watch out on pick and rolls involving Kanter in the game, the source said. The source said referee Scott Foster warned Cuz about talking to Kanter. After Cousins attempted to tell Foster he was mistaken, the injured center was given a technical and tossed.

Cousins told Draymond on Kanter, “Put him in the pick and roll every time,” a source said. When Scott Foster warned Cousins about talking about Kanter, the source said Cousins responded, “You can’t just assume.” Foster tossed Cousins after that.

After the game, a contest the Warriors won by a final score of 128-100, DeMarcus Cousins told Spears he was still trying to figure out how he got ejected.

It is still uncertain when DeMarcus Cousins will make his season debut with the Warriors. However, the All-Star center is already making an impact off the bench with his loud mouth.
