The highly anticipated clash between the Golden State Warriors and Brooklyn Nets was much more exciting on paper than it was on the hardwood. After a classic Warriors third quarter run that gave them a massive lead, the game never got close again.

But Draymond Green made sure to keep things spicy after the game. The ever-outspoken star spoke out on his former teammate-turned-rival Kevin Durant,  and the dynastic Warriors team that was from a few years ago.

“Everybody criticized it. Everybody criticized Kevin. Everybody criticized us. They didn’t appreciate it,” said Warriors star Draymond Green. “But people usually don’t appreciate greatness until they no longer have it. We appreciated it. And that’s all that matters.”

The critics indeed didn't stay silent when Kevin Durant made the decision to move to Golden State. But the two rings and three NBA Finals appearances probably helped to drown out the noise just a tad.

But now Durant and Green stand on opposing ends on the court, with the same goal of adding to their own vaunted resumes. The Warriors and Nets could very well meet in the NBA Finals. And while fans may not have appreciated greatness for the KD-Warriors as much as they should have, like Draymond Green claimed, a Finals matchup is something they surely won't take for granted.
