Golden State Warriors guard and splash brother Klay Thompson has had a rough few seasons. He tore his ACL in Game 6 of the 2019 NBA Finals against the Toronto Raptors only to come back to tear his Achilles before the start of the 2020-21 NBA season. One would expect him to keep to himself and prioritize his recovery this season while being a supportive teammate from the sidelines during practices and games. That has not been the case, however, as Klay has become chattier than ever according to Draymond Green.
Green talked about Thompson's transformation into one of the most talkative guys on the team despite dealing with demoralizing injuries on SiriusXM NBA Radio, via Drew Shiller of NBC Sports:
“It's this newfound Klay. This dude doesn't stop talking,” the Warriors forward told Ros Gold-Onwude. “He's always been extremely quiet. [Now] he does not stop talking. About everything. Nonstop. On the plane, in the locker room.
“I don't get tired of it because it's been so long and you haven't heard him. It's the most incredible thing. Me and Steph [Curry] die laughing about it.”

This new side to Klay Thompson only shows his leadership and dedication to the Warriors. At a time where he can't play and help his team win, it would have been very easy for Klay to go about this season in silence. However, his positive energy and ability to raise teammate's spirits will be key in helping the Dubs compete in a tough Western Conference.
Draymond Green and the Warriors are looking to prove haters wrong and earn a spot in the playoffs this 2020-21 campaign, and while he's not on the court, Klay's presence is certainly helping the team.
