Golden State Warriors star forward Draymond Green has been sidelined since January 5 due to a nagging back injury. Green most recently provided an update on his own injury, saying that he was able to practice in full with Golden State and that his ultimate return would require him to ramp up his conditioning and explosiveness. On Monday, Green again provided his own update. Only this time, the Warriors star revealed a target date for his return from his back injury, as reported by The Volume Sports.

Draymond Green said on his podcast that he is targeting the Warriors' March 14 game against the Washington Wizards for his return from his back injury. This would be right in line with the recent report from ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, which stated that the talented forward would be able to get back into game action in about a week.

Green, 32, has appeared in 34 games for the Warriors this season, posting averages of 7.9 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 7.4 assists while tallying at least a block and a steal per contest.

If the Warriors haven't quite looked the same without Green, it's because they haven't been. The veteran forward is key to their defensive efforts. Overall, Golden State is 53-49– or barely above .500- without Green all-time since he entered the NBA.

That's why the Warriors have been so desperate for his return.
