SAN FRANCISCO — Golden State Warriors All-Star Draymond Green spoke to the media for the first time in weeks about his injury. He said that he would love to be back on the court in three to four weeks, but there's no guarantee that will happen. The three-time champion explained why when he spoke with the media before his team's game against the Sacramento Kings.
“I want to return when I’m 100% confident that I’m healthy,” Green told ClutchPoints. “When I feel like I’m in great shape, because the reality is, I don’t want to return not in somewhat of game shape and then, you’re laboring, your mechanics and running is wrong, and all of these things and then you’re compensating, and then I get hurt again.”

The Warriors are choosing to take things slow with Green, and it makes sense given how the team is clicking. Golden State made it eight straight victories by beating Sacramento on Thursday, moving to 40-13 on the season.
Article Continues BelowWhen Green first went down with the injury, the Dubs struggled a few games, but once they got back to practicing good habits they jumped right back to being one of the hottest teams in the league.
Green is optimistic about his return and believes he can still come back and win Defensive Player of the Year. The four-time All-Star is more determined than ever this season, which is great news for Golden State.
The Warriors star expects to be stronger, faster and better when he returns, and that's going to be trouble for the rest of the NBA.
