Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo knows what Klay Thompson is capable of, but he admitted they almost forgot about it before the Golden State Warriors sharpshooter gave them a beating on Saturday.

Thompson exploded for a monster 38 points, going 8-of-15 from the 3-point line to punish the Bucks. Antetokounmpo and the rest of Milwaukee were able to limit his Splash Bro. Stephen Curry to just eighth points, but they simply had no answer for Thompson who was on fire right from the start.

After the game, Antetokounmpo got brutally honest about Thompson's performance as he shared it's a wake-up call for them.

“We haven’t seen him a while due to his injury. It’s almost like we forgot who he was,” Antetokounmpo said, referencing Thompson's two-and-half-year absence due to multiple injuries, per Marc J. Spears of The Undefeated.

It's hard to blame Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks, though. Klay Thompson has been struggling recently, averaging just 15.8 points on 36.9 percent shooting in the five games he played after the All-Star break. Milwaukee probably didn't expect him to get out of his slump so quickly.

As for Thompson and the Warriors, they certainly needed that performance and win. Not only was it a confidence-booster for Klay, but for the Warriors as well since it showed they have someone they can rely on when Stephen Curry struggles.

Not to mention that this Dubs team is not yet in full strength. Draymond Green has yet to play with Thompson, so imagine what they can do together when their core alongside Curry is fully healthy.

Surely, the Bucks have already realized the threat that the Warriors bring heading to the postseason.
