Damion Lee and the Golden State Warriors are working to finalize a multi-year deal that includes partial guarantees in future seasons, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Lee had been on a two-way contract with the Warriors, who waived big man Marquese Chriss on Monday to clear a roster spot to keep Lee:

Lee is the brother-in-law of Warriors superstar point guard Stephen Curry. In 24 games this season for the Warriors, Lee is averaging 12.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.2 assists. He's shooting 41.8 percent from the field, 36.8 percent from beyond the arc and 88.0 percent from the free-throw line.

The Warriors have the worst record in the Western Conference. They are only 9-29 on the season and will likely miss the playoffs for the first time in the Steve Kerr era.

Damion Lee, 27, has career NBA averages of 8.7 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 71 games with the Atlanta Hawks and Warriors. He played his college ball at Drexel and Louisville and went undrafted. The guard joined the Warriors in the 2018-19 season.

Beyond Draymond Green, the rest of the Dubs' core from their five-year Finals run is either injured or has moved on from Golden State. Curry is out with a broken left hand; Klay Thompson is still rehabbing his left ACL tear; Kevin Durant is expected to miss the entire season for the Brooklyn Nets due to his Achilles tear; Andre Iguodala won’t play a single game for the Memphis Grizzles and is waiting for his situation to be resolved; Shaun Livingston is retired.
