Golden State Warriors owner Joe Lacob believes Klay Thompson is “the greatest two-guard on the planet.”
Thomson has established himself as an elite two-way player in the NBA. Despite tearing his left ACL in Game 6 of the 2019 NBA Finals against the Toronto Raptors, the Warriors re-signed the sharpshooter to a five-year max contract this summer.

I know it's positionless basketball, but I go by positions,” Lacob said, via NBC Sports Bay Area. “To me, he's the greatest two-guard on the planet. He's both ends. He's a two-way player. He's got great size and he's an incredible shooter and he plays hard.
“What more can you ask for than Klay Thompson? Why would you not want Klay Thompson?”
The Warriors drafted Thompson with the 11th overall pick in the 2011 NBA Draft. At the time, no one saw Thompson carving out the career he has with the Dubs so far, not even Joe Lacob.
In a short amount of time, Thompson has established himself as arguably the second-greatest shooter in NBA history behind his backcourt mate, Stephen Curry. The Warriors can't wait for Thompson to return from his injury, although they won't rush him back under any circumstance.
Last season, Thompson averaged 21.5 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists for the Warriors. The five-time All-Star shot 46.7 percent from the field, 40.2 percent from beyond the arc and 81.6 percent from the free-throw line.
