The NBA Playoffs are on the horizon, and the Golden State Warriors are fighting to stay alive in the postseason race. The Warriors currently reside in 10th place in the Western Conference with a 23-24 record.
However, in the Warriors' last game, they utilized a secret weapon they haven't used before, per Anthony Slater. Steve Kerr used more of a “high screen, pick-and-roll action.” You can listen to Draymond Green and Steve Kerr talk about it here:
Warriors ran much more high screen, pick-and-roll action last game. It's an adjusted style that's more conducive to Wiggins, Wiseman and this team's personnel. They say they'll keep doing it.

In their last game against the Chicago Bulls, the Warriors walked away victoriously with a demanding 116-102 final. To say this new strategy worked would be an understatement. In fact, it seemed as though the team thrived, as Andrew Wiggins and James Wiseman were able to perform at a much higher level.

This is just another example of Kerr's brilliant coaching abilities. It may have taken a good portion of the year to figure out how to utilize the players on his team, but the timing is crucial as well.
The Warriors are only one and a half games back from eighth place, and with the play-in format the NBA is using this year, they may find themselves in the postseason after all.
Considering the number of new faces on the roster, it's not shocking to see the Warriors struggle a bit this year. However, with a different scheme and more familiarity and chemistry, Golden State is putting itself in a position to make the playoffs again. Look for them to utilize this new strategy in their next game on Thursday, as they take on the Miami Heat.
