Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry is 10 triples away from breaking Ray Allen's record for most 3-pointers in NBA history. Sure enough, the Dubs want everything about it to be special–including the venue.
With how things currently stand, Curry is well on track to accomplish the feat by Monday when they play the Indiana Pacers. The Warriors face the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday, during which he is expected to inch closer to the record.
However, it seems Golden State doesn't like the idea of Curry breaking the legendary feat in Indiana. Interestingly, they play the New York Knicks at the Madison Square Garden the following day, which could be a more perfect venue for Steph to make history.
With that said, according to NBA insider Marc Stein, the Dubs are weighing on resting Curry against the Pacers. It increases the odds of the 33-year-old sharpshooter accomplishing the new record in New York at the iconic MSG.

While Pacers fans won't be happy about that, the Warriors certainly have every right to do so. Besides, it's common for teams to give their star players a night off in back-to-backs.
It does sound bad news for the Knicks, though, especially as they try to find their rhythm amid an up-and-down season. The last thing they want right now is be on the receiving end of a big night from Stephen Curry.
Of course it is also an opportunity for them to spoil the fun for Steph and Co., but with the Dubs at 21-4, they know very well that it will be a difficult task.
