The Golden State Warriors pulled out a thrilling 117-116 Game 1 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies over the weekend, with Klay Thompson hitting the game-winning 3-pointer and coming up big defensively on Ja Morant's game-winning attempt in the final seconds. Thompson did miss two clutch free throws before Morant's last shot, but it didn't come back to bite Golden State. However, it's now worth noting that the Warriors sharpshooter popped up on the injury report for Game 2 with right knee soreness, so everybody wants to know: Is Klay Thompson playing tonight in Game 2 vs. the Grizzlies?

Is Warriors star Klay Thompson playing in Game 2 vs. Grizzlies
While Thompson is dealing with knee soreness, he is probable for Tuesday's matchup. Assuming there are no setbacks leading up to Game 2, the Warriors star should be good to go.
Obviously there's now always some level of concern when it comes to Thompson and leg injuries. He tore his left ACL in the 2019 NBA Finals and then tore his right Achilles before the start of last season, keeping him out for two-plus seasons. So, it's understandable to be wary about this.

But it seems as if this is something minor that won't keep Thompson out of the lineup. It will be something to monitor moving forward.
The Warriors star had a somewhat rough Game 1 against the Grizzlies, scoring 15 points on 6-of-19 shooting overall, 3-of-10 from 3-land and those two missed free throws. But he hit that clutch 3-pointer and played crucial defense on the final play, so he did enough to help Golden State get a win.
Thompson was really starting to find his rhythm at the end of the regular season, and he also played well in the first-round series against the Denver Nuggets. The 32-year-old made 22 3-pointers over the course of the 5-game series.
So, when it comes to Klay Thompson playing tonight in Game 2 against the Grizzlies, it looks like the answer is yes.
