Jordan Poole was the Golden State Warriors' 28th pick in the 2019 NBA draft. In his first season, he spent a lot of time in the G League before finally getting his break and becoming a major contributor to the team. Now, three years, later rookie Jonathan Kuminga is experiencing a similar situation.

The No. 7 pick in the 2021 draft has shown flashes of brilliance, but on other timed, he has struggled. Fortunately, going into the second half of the season, it looks like things are starting to click for Kuminga.

After the Warriors trounced the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday, Poole shared his thought on his rookie teammate.

“It's just good to see him out there competing, playing hard, seeing him on the court, showing his ability, playing with a lot of confidence,” Poole told ClutchPoints.

The Warriors beat the Mavs 130-92 behind Kuminga's team-high 22 points. He was a perfect 4-of-4 from three and had some high flying jams.

“We know he's extremely athletic,” Poole continued. “But getting him to make the right plays, take the right shots, get shots for him because we have so many threats out there we’ll be able to get him some easy looks, just continuing to learn and play his game. I'm just happy that he's out there getting game experience.”

The Dubs are now 35-13 and they aren't fully healthy yet. They are without star Draymond Green and the 2020 No. 2 pick James Wiseman who hasn't played a game this season.

Next, they will face Karl-Anthony Towns and the Minnesota Timberwolves who got the best of them in their last meeting when Minnesota beat them 119-99. Hopefully, Jonathan Kuminga continues his rise and become a key player for the Warriors sooner rather than later.
