The two-time reigning Finals MVP suffered the injury during his team's dispiriting loss to the lowly Phoenix Suns on Sunday. After the game, Golden State coach Steve Kerr expressed optimism that Durant's injury was not of a serious variety.

Durant sat out of the Warriors' next game, a much-needed 106-104 win against the rival, surging Houston Rockets on Wednesday at Toyota Center. He was originally listed as question for Saturday's contest. Kerr told The Athletic Durant is “very likely” to return on Monday against the San Antonio Spurs, and that holding him out against Oklahoma City is more a precautionary measure than any indication the injury could linger.
Golden State, with a 46-21 record, sits one game ahead of the Denver Nuggets for first place in the Western Conference standings. The two-time defending champions are just 5-5 since the All-Star break, though they have managed victories over contenders like the Rockets, Nuggets, and Philadelphia 76ers.
The Warriors and Thunder tip off at 8:30 p.m. EST from Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City.
