Golden State Warriors star shooting guard Klay Thompson is feared to have suffered a serious right heel injury, per Shams Charania of Stadium.

Thompson sustained his injury while playing in a pick-up game in downtown Los Angeles on Wednesday. The Warriors All-Star needed help walking out of the gym.

Warriors fans are hoping Klay Thompson didn't tear his Achilles. The three-time champion missed the entire 2019-20 campaign rehabbing his left ACL tear. Golden State was looking forward to seeing Thompson and superstar point guard Stephen Curry back in action together next season.

Curry only played in five games in 2019-20 due to a broken hand that required two surgeries.

Dubs fans are going to have to wait for Thompson's test results. However, the fact that Klay needed help off the court is cause for concern.

The last time we saw Thompson for a full season, he averaged 21.5 points per game and shot 46.7 percent from the field, 40.2 percent from beyond the arc and 81.6 percent from the free-throw line during the 2018-19 campaign.

Thompson tore his left ACL in Game 6 of the 2019 Finals against the Warriors while going for a dunk. He still shot his free throws, though, proving how physically tough he is. The Dubs lost to the Raptors in six games and had the worst record in the NBA in 2019-20.
