The Golden State Warriors took a haymaker right on the chin in Game 1 of the NBA Finals. After having the Boston Celtics on the ropes in the second half, a huge flurry knocked the Dubs out cold. But Klay Thompson isn't worried.
The Splash Brother doesn't think it has to get complicated when it comes to what the Warriors need to do to win Game 2. Klay Thompson kept it real simple.
“I need to make more shots. I need to take more shots. Need to get more stops. And I need to just be myself,” Thompson said.
What does it mean to “be myself” exactly when you're Klay Thompson?

“Yeah, that would be one of the greatest to ever shoot it, so I'll rely on that,” the Warriors star continued.

Klay Thompson didn't have a terribly inefficient outing, going 6-for-14 from the field. But Golden State is going to need much more from him than the 15 points he produced in Game 1.
Stephen Curry was red-hot to start off the contest but didn't have much help around him after he began to cool off. If Klay Thompson can channel the inner fire he usually saves for playoff close-out games, Golden State will have a great shot at tying the series.
