It has been a long journey back for Golden State Warriors star Klay Thompson. After two season-ending injuries, the former All-Star is starting to look and feel like himself again. Now, he's being rewarded by the training staff and Steve Kerr for the hard work he put in to get to this point.
Right before their matchup against the Oklahoma City Thunder, it was announced he is cleared to play the most minutes he has played this season.
Klay Thompson could play 30 minutes against OKC, per Steve Kerr.

“He's doing great,” Kerr said when asked about the progression of the Warriors sharpshooter. “We can bump him up to 30 minutes tonight…So, he can be in more of our rotations and more of a set rotation for himself. He's just got better and better and he's found his rhythm and trending in a good direction.”

The three-time champion is coming off of his best game of the season against the Sacramento Kings. Thompson scored 23 points on 8-of-11 shooting and had seven assists and five rebounds in 24 minutes. The Warriors easily won that game 126-114 at home.
Golden State extending his minutes is good news. It means he's healthy and able to ramp things up for the postseason. The Dubs are contenders, but with a healthy Thompson, they can be lopsided favorites. It all depends on the health of the team.
Meanwhile, every small win is something for Warriors fans to be happy about. If the team can play Thompson without restrictions, it's going to make a huge difference moving forward. That change isn't happening against OKC, but it will be soon.
