To say that 2020 was a tough year would be an ultimate understatement. Golden State Warriors star Klay Thompson is certainly on the same boat, as the sharpshooting two-guard recently made the admission that the past year was without a doubt the “worst year of my life.”

Klay Thompson is a huge Kobe Bryant fan, and so the untimely passing of the Los Angeles Lakers legend hit him hard.

“I still think about Kobe every single day,” the Warriors star added, via Nick Friedell of ESPN. “There's not a day I don't think about him. And not being able to have that last convo with him … it was a tough year, guys. Not only for me but I'm sure for all of you. I'm looking forward to the future, that's for sure.”

Indeed it was. For most of us, the only good part of 2020 is that it is over.

Right now, though, Thompson is taking the right steps in his recovery from a season-ending Achilles tear he suffered prior to the start of the 2020-21 campaign. On Sunday, the five-time All-Star was seen taking a few shots prior to the Warriors' matchup against the league-best Utah Jazz.

Thompson is not expected to play this season, but barring any setbacks, there is hope that he's going to be good to go for the Warriors to open the 2021-22 season. Now that's certainly something to look forward to.
