SAN FRANCISCO — The Golden State Warriors lost at home to Julius Randle and the New York Knicks in surprising fashion on Thursday night. It was a game in which the Knicks had a commanding double-digit lead in the fourth but Klay Thompson and the Warriors fought back, cutting the lead down to two and then having a chance to tie or win the game with under 7 seconds left.
Thompson was the player who took the final shot of the game. He had a good look at the basket but missed the game-tying attempt. Thompson scored 17 points, and after the game, he was asked if he's starting to feel like his normal self.

“I want to say I feel like myself,” the Warriors star told ClutchPoints. “But {that's}natural when you've missed 941 days. I still think I'm trending upward and I really want to peak by May and June rather than right now. So, every week gets better and I think I'll be incredible come playoff time. Just like the season has progressed my game has progressed as well. I think that's going to continue.”

It wasn't the best shooting night for Thompson (7-of-17 overall, 3-of-9 from 3), and he shared he felt he needs to shoot the 3-ball better. That's something that will come with time, but for now, Thompson is still ahead of schedule.
