Klay Thompson of the Golden State Warriors dreams of carrying over his success with the Warriors to the United States Men's National Basketball Team. The 28-year-old shooting guard means this in the literal sense, as he recently shared how excited he is about the prospect of having five Warriors players on the national team at some point in the future.
“That would be awesome,” Thompson told ESPN's Nick Freidell. “I don't know if that's ever happened in the history of the NBA, so that would be awesome. It gets me excited just thinking about it.”
Considering how the Warriors have five of the best players in the NBA right now, this actually wouldn't be as far off as one would think.

Stephen Curry, Thompson, Draymond Green, Kevin Durant, and DeMarcus Cousins are all part of the said pool, so there is actually a slim chance that all five are eventually able to make the final cut.
Team USA head coach Gregg Popovich recently added Warriors head honcho Steve Kerr to his team of coaches, so it will be interesting to see how this will affect the chances of all five Dubs stars making it to the final roster. There is no shortage of competition in the pool, so a five-man Warriors lineup for Team USA is anything but a shoe in.
