Klay Thompson of the Golden State Warriors exploded for 52 points in less than 30 minutes of game time. It's a surprise to many but this is not the first time that Thompson had this sort of outburst.

Per Basketball-Reference, Klay Thompson scored 60 points in 29 minutes on December 5, 2016 against the Indiana Pacers. He was 63.6 percent from the field or 13-of-19. He was also 8-of-14 from downtown. In addition, Thompson was 10-of-11 from the free throw line for the Warriors.

But due to this offensive showcase, it's a reminder to critics that Thompson is a critical part of the Warriors and their dominance over the past few years.
On a good night, he can easily score 50 points if he wanted to. He can even join a team and carry it to the playoffs. But Thompson opts to remain lowkey. He knows that at the end of the day, basketball is a team sport. He's simply doing what the Warriors expect him to do: score and put on a show.
