The Golden State Warriors' preseason game against the Sacramento Kings in Seattle has been dubbed as Kevin Durant's night. But the Warriors' other star present on the night in Klay Thompson is not to be outdone.
The former Washington State University standout showed up big time in the opening salvo for the Warriors, firing from all corners on his way to 19 first-quarter points. If that's not impressive enough, consider the fact that the Kings only scored 18 points after the first 12 minutes.

There must be something about the Kings that really gets Thompson going. As most NBA fans recall, the former 3-point champion once owned Sacramento in 2015 after setting an NBA-record of 37 points in one quarter.

However, the defending champions still seem too overpowering against their lowly opponents, making the Kings look like peasants in Seattle.
Thompson may be the most silent of all the Warriors' stars, but his value to the team is undeniable. He is one of the best two-way players in the NBA and it's only a matter of time before he adds an All-Defensive team selection to his 3-point hardware.
The Warriors, though, will have to make a critical decision on his future pretty soon, but that's not stopping Thompson and Golden State from steamrolling past the opposition in their bid for a three-peat.
