Golden State Warriors shooting guard Klay Thompson told local reporters Friday he's “excited” about playing with center Andrew Bogut again.
The Warriors signed Bogut this week. The former No. 1 overall pick played four seasons with the Dubs and was part of the 2015 team that won the championship over the Cleveland Cavaliers:
“I'm excited,” Thompson said about adding Bogut. “I think he'll help us greatly. He's a good dude. He's a good teammate. It'll add great depth to our center position.”

Andrew Bogut has career NBA averages of 9.8 points, 8.7 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.6 blocks in 694 games with the Milwaukee Bucks, Warriors, Dallas Mavericks, Cleveland Cavaliers (he played one minute with the Cavs) and Los Angeles Lakers. His addition to the team gives the Warriors a rim protector and a big man who can pass the ball at a high level.
Bogut still hasn't joined the Warriors, as he's in Australia. The veteran center will back up DeMarcus Cousins, who has struggled at times on defense.
Golden State has the best record in the Western Conference and remain the favorite to win the title. Bogut is looking to win his second ring with the Dubs, and he's likely going to get it barring something unforeseen happening in the playoffs.
Thompson, Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, Shaun Livingston and Andre Iguodala were all teammates with Bogut before.
