Draymond Green has nothing but love and admiration for his Golden State Warriors teammate, Klay Thompson.
Thompson will be sidelined for the whole 2020-21 campaign after suffering from an Achilles injury this offseason. It will be the second-straight year he'll miss after spending the whole of 2019-20 rehabbing from the torn ACL in his left knee that he suffered during the 2019 NBA Finals.
Despite Thompson's absence, Green acknowledged just how important the sharpshooting guard is to the Western Conference franchise.

Prior to sustaining another season-ending injury, Klay Thompson was really excited to return after more than a year on the sidelines. In fact, the Warriors were even hyped by his return to practice when they were in their in-market bubble in preparation for the season.
Unfortunately, the whole team will need to wait for another year to get Klay back. In the meantime, Draymond Green, Stephen Curry, Andrew Wiggins, Kelly Oubre Jr. and rookie James Wiseman will have to stay healthy and remain on the floor in hopes of keeping the team's title hopes alive.
Prior to hitting a wall last season, which did net Golden State a top-three pick in the 2020 NBA Draft in the end, the Warriors had rattle off five consecutive Western Conference titles and five NBA Finals appearances. The Warriors went on to win three NBA championships during that same span.
