San Francisco, CA – Saturday in Game 1 of the NBA playoffs, the Golden State Warriors unleashed one of their new lineups featuring the trio of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Jordan Poole. It was an instant hit. The player who led the charge was the youngest of the three. It was their third-year guard from Michigan.

“Jordan Poole, wow, what a playoff debut,” Warriors superstar Klay Thompson told ClutchPoints. “All his hard work is paying off. If he doesn't get most improved this year, it doesn't make any sense. Without him, we would not be where we are now. Dubnation, we should be very grateful for the development ask type of player he's become. He's just incredible. What a star in the making.”

All week many talked about potentially seeing Thompson, Curry, and Poole on the court together at the same time. On Saturday, people got what they asked for. This lineup played together briefly, but not for a long period.

“As far as being out there with Steph and him (Poole) and Wiggs and Draymond, it's a scary sight when we really get going,” Warriors veteran Klay Thompson said. “This is really only our first time really playing together.”

The more time this group gets on the floor together, the better they will become. So far, it’s been a good start. All five players scored in double figures, and Poole, the potential Most Improved Player of the Year, scored a game-high 30 points.

The young Warriors guard's 30 points tied Mitch Richmond for the second-most points scored in a playoff debut in franchise history.
