If you think that Golden State Warriors superstar Klay Thompson is inching closer towards a return to the basketball court in the near future then you're absolutely right. As a matter of fact, Thompson has just posted a challenge on Instagram that should get Dubs fans even more excited.

Apparently, Klay isn't very good when it comes to NBA 2K. As such, the Warriors star decided to take out his frustration on the basketball court by posting an open challenge to anyone who's willing to take him on in a shooting contest. Thompson is even willing to put himself at a huge disadvantage (h/t ClutchPoints on Twitter):

It looks like Klay has lost a bit of money on 2K and he's now looking to win some of it back. Unfortunately for him, there probably aren't too many brave souls out there who'd like to wager some of their hard-earned money in a losing bet. Then again, how often do you get the chance to battle it out on the basketball court against one of the greatest shooters of all time, right?

The biggest takeaway here, however, is that the Warriors star is definitely getting close to a return. It's been quite a while since we've seen him in a Warriors uniform, so it will definitely be a day to remember once he finally suits up for the Dubs again. We all hope that's going to be during the season tip-off for the 2021-22 campaign, and by the looks of it, this is becoming a real possibility.
