Steve Kerr won his ninth NBA title on Thursday. He won five NBA championships as a player and now has four as a coach. There is no question that the Golden State Warriors coach is making a case for the Hall of Fame. So it came as no surprise when Magic Johnson shouted Kerr out on Twitter. However, Johnson also proved that he doesn't understand Mount Rushmore.

GSW Head Coach Steve Kerr is on my Mount Rushmore of NBA coaches with Pat Riley, Phil Jackson, Red Auerbach and Greg Popovich.

Magic is simply trying to make the point that Steve Kerr is amongst the greatest coaches of all-time after winning four championships in his first eight years as the Warriors coach.

Jokes aside, Magic Johnson makes a good point. With all of the talk about Warriors star Stephen Curry entering the Michael Jordan, LeBron James, and Kobe Bryant ranks, one has to wonder if Kerr has entered the GOAT coach conversation.

Johnson also congratulated the Warriors on their NBA Finals victory.

Congratulations to the Golden State Warriors led by Steph, Draymond, and Klay, Coach Steve Kerr, and the entire Golden State team for winning their 4th NBA Championship!!

Johnson is a Lakers legend and fan, but he is never shy about shouting out greatness when he sees it.

Steve Kerr belongs in the GOAT conversation… but Magic will need to remove someone from his Mount Rushmore if he wants to place Kerr on it.
