In the last four games, Golden State Warriors rookie Moses Moody has been nearly perfect. It took the 2021 lottery pick three games to miss his first shot. After scoring a career-high 30 points against the Denver Nuggets, he received a ton of praise.
Some are starting to compare the Warriors rookie to Klay Thompson. However, Steve Kerr says we are not quite there yet.
“That's a pretty high bar. Klay’s one of the all-time great shooters,” Warriors coach Steve Kerr told ClutchPoints. “One of the reasons Bob (Myers) drafted Moses was because of his shooting ability, and he's got a beautiful stroke. He's got a big strong body like Klay, a big frame so he can shoot over the top of people and get through people.”
In Moody’s last four appearances, he's shot a scorching 21-of-34 from the field. He started his rookie season struggling with his shot, but at the right time, things are clicking for the No. 14 pick. His improved play has earned him a spot in the Warriors rotation, and Kerr said he trusts him in the postseason.

“Then I think what's really exciting about Moses, is the competitiveness,” Kerr said. “The fire, the feel, he understands the game and he competes every play.”
The Nuggets defeated the Warriors, 131-123, at Ball Arena in Denver. The Warriors fall to 43-22 on the year, including 17-15 on the road. The loss extends the team’s losing streak to five games, and it's the first time this season the Dubs lost a game when scoring 120 points or more.
