Golden State Warriors All-Star Draymond Green gave an impassioned interview on the difficulty of guarding Denver Nuggets MVP candidate Nikola Jokić and his unique shooting motion.

Draymond Green is one of the best defenders in the league and even won the NBA Defensive Player of the Year Award in 2017. Although he is quite small for the power forward and center positions at 6'6 and 230 pounds, he possesses a lot of functional strength and has an impressive 7-1 1/4 wingspan.
Draymond Green has a high basketball IQ and at times, it seems he knows the opponent's play better than they do. He is the quarterback of the defense and can frequently be seen directing his teammates. Combine all of these and it is no wonder he won the Defensive Player of the Year Award.

With that in mind, when Green says he is frustrated playing defense on a player, you know said player is something special. Obviously, Jokić has the size advantage over Draymond Green, but the Serbian is so skilled and armed with an arsenal of moves that left Green flustered against the Nuggets.
Draymond Green has nothing to be ashamed of, as Jokić is virtually unguardable. Even if his scoring is not clicking for some reason, his incredible court vision and crisp passing create opportunities for his teammates.
Currently, Golden State has an even 30-30 record, which places them in the ninth spot in the Western Conference, as Draymond Green is quite aware of. The team would want more than a play-in spot, however, and they can rise through the standings as the rest of the teams' records are not that much better. The Dubs are trying to get to the point where Steph Curry has a puncher's chance in a playoff series against a superior team which is not battle-tested in the postseason.
