Stephen Curry’s nagging foot injury did not seem to bother him at all during the Golden State Warriors’ Game 4 win against the Boston Celtics. Heading into Game 5, his ailment may end up being a non-factor for the remainder of the NBA Finals.

Speaking during a media availability on Sunday, Curry provided a simple, one-word update on just how his foot is feeling.

“Great,” Curry said.

Curry had quite an injury scare in the fourth quarter of the Warriors’ defeat to the Celtics in Game 3 when Al Horford rolled on his left leg after attempting to retrieve a loose ball. While the two-time NBA MVP winner was slow to get up after the sequence and was shown limping moments later, he managed to remain in the contest.

After the loss, Curry downplayed concerns over his status for the rest of the NBA Finals, as he noted that while he was in “some pain,” he was going to be “alright.”

Following a short injury rehab where he continually checked in with the team’s trainers, Curry not only ended up playing in 41 minutes of Game 4, but he also rose to the occasion with a 43-point outing. He shot 54 percent from the field and recorded 10 rebounds as Golden State avoided falling to a 3-1 deficit against the Celtics.

All eyes are now on Game 5 of the NBA Finals on Monday, where Curry sure will look to orchestrate another electric shooting performance to provide the Warriors with a 3-2 advantage in the series.
