Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors have raked in a ton of money during their run to the Western Conference Finals. Now, as they head to the 2022 NBA Finals, they could get more.
According to Tim Kawakami of The Athletic, the Warriors have already grossed about $72 million in the nine home games they played from the first round until the West Finals against the Dallas Mavericks. They earned at least $7 million each home game in the first two rounds, and $10 million each in the Conference finale.
In the NBA Finals where they are assured at least two home games, the Warriors could add $30 million more to their gross earnings. Each game at home is expected to bring them $15 million, meaning they could earn at least $102 million throughout the 2022 playoffs.
With 3 home games in each West round, the Warriors have grossed approximately $72 million box office. ($7M per game in 1st two rounds, $10M per this round.)
They're now guaranteed at least 2 Finals home games, when they're expected to gross $15M+ per game.
Total gross of $102M.

That's not a bad thing at all for two months of NBA postseason basketball.
Of course that is nothing new to the Warriors. They have been to the Finals before, five straight years in fact, and they are well aware of the financial benefits that winning brings.
The Golden State ownership will certainly be happy with that, but at the end of the day, their focus remains on one thing: winning the Larry O'Brien trophy once again after missing the postseason the past two years.
