On Sunday, Golden State Warriors assistant Mike Brown was hired by the Sacramento Kings to be their next head coach. The following day, Brown took over as the Dubs' head coach after Steve Kerr tested positive for COVID-19. Now, imagine the surprise of Stephen Curry and co. with the roller-coaster turn of events.
Sure enough, Curry himself couldn't catch up with everything happening. He even joked after they beat the Grizzlies in Game 4 that he felt like they were all traded to the Kings when Brown took over.

For those misinterpreting what Stephen Curry said, though, his comments were not intended to troll the Kings. He clarified that later on, especially since he was clearly talking about Mike Brown and how he became their head coach just a day after he was hired by the Kings.

It's certainly a funny turn of events, and it's easy to see where Curry is coming from. Many are probably even thinking what Brown was doing with the Warriors after the Kings hired him (of course he has to finish the playoffs first!).
The Kings joke aside, the Warriors will probably need Brown to coach to the best of his abilities in Game 5 where they have a chance to close out Memphis. Given that there is only a one-day gap between Monday's contest to the next, it's unlikely for Steve Kerr to get out of the health and safety protocols by that time.
