The Golden State Warriors are preparing for their first playoff run in two years. The team will take on the Denver Nuggets in the first round of the 2022 NBA Playoffs, which kicks off on Saturday.

Since March 16, the Warriors have been without Stephen Curry and his dominant offense. The star three-point shooter suffered a sprained ligament and a bone bruise in his left foot, forcing him to miss the end of the regular season.

However, Curry is optimistic that he'll return to the court for Game 1 Saturday night. Curry logged his first full practice since the injury on Wednesday and put on a three-point show for media at the Warriors practice on Thursday.

NBC Sports reporter Kerith Burke tweeted a video of his impressive pre-playoffs workout Thursday afternoon.

The Golden State star drained 11 straight threes before finally missing the target. In the final games of the regular season without Curry, the Warriors went 6-6, a much less impressive record than their overall record of 53-29. There's no doubt that his absence played a huge role in the Warriors' mediocre final dozen games.

Heading into the playoffs, Curry's explosive offense is exactly what the Warriors need. They are going up against the Nuggets and MVP candidate Nikola Jokic. As the three seed, the Warriors are expected to defeat Denver, slated sixth in the West. If they advance, they'll take on the winner of the Memphis Grizzlies vs. Minnesota Timberwolves first-round series.
