Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr got honest when talking about Stephen Curry's recent fourth-quarter drought early in the season. Despite his hot start, the reigning scoring champion has gone ice-cold for the Warriors in crunch time that has a lot of people worried as Curry and the rest of Golden State try to open the 2021-22 campaign strong.
But take Kerr out of that group of people. According to the 56-year-old mentor, Curry's crunch time shooting is the least of his worries as he has nothing but faith that the world will go back to normal, and the two-time MVP will start knocking down those all-important shots.
“If there's one thing I'm not worried about it's Steph Curry scoring. Seems like the biggest fluke of all time,” Kerr said (via Kendra Andrews of NBCS).

It has seemed like such a fluke. Curry, who's made a name for himself as one of the most dangerous scorers in the clutch, has been on a shocking slump these past few games. In the last four games, the Warriors leader has yet to knock down a shot during the fourth quarter and overtime.
Fortunately, the Warriors have still managed to rack up some wins even with Curry shooting blanks late in the game. Other than a tough OT loss against Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies, Golden State hasn't really needed Curry to explode in the fourth quarter with comfortable wins against the Sacramento Kings and twice against the young Oklahoma City Thunder.
At the end of the day, Kerr is right. It's tough to bet against someone like Stephen Curry and surely, sooner rather than later, the three-time champion will start cooking in the clutch once again.
