Steve Kerr guided the Golden State Warriors to yet another win this 2021-22 season, with Stephen Curry and Co. taking down the Boston Celtics on Friday. In the process, Kerr got his 400th win as Dubs coach.
As the Warriors noted on Twitter, Kerr is only the third coach in franchise history to reach the 400-win mark. He joins Al Attles and Don Nelson in the elite club, and by the looks of it, he could surpass the latter this campaign. Nelson has 422 wins as head coach of the Dubs in two separate stints, while Attles has 557.

Steve Kerr has been given little credit to what he has achieved with the Warriors, even after leading them to three championships. After all, he did inherit a strong team headed by Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green. Not to mention that he got Kevin Durant at one point.
However, there is no denying that what he has accomplished is noteworthy and deserves recognition. He has been a stabilizing force for the Warriors since he took over in 2014, and it can be said that he was the one who elevated the Dubs to true contender status–he just knows the best way to utilize his players and the stars he has.
For what it's worth, Kerr is already the most successful Warriors coach in history. Aside from three NBA titles, he has the most playoff wins with 77–more than double of Attle's 31.
Now that's a legendary feat!
