Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr has caught wind of the NBA's decision to hand Memphis Grizzlies forward Dillon Brooks a one-game suspension for his controversial foul on Gary Payton II in Game 2 of their second-round series. For his part, however, coach Kerr revealed how this development doesn't really move the needle for him.
According to coach Kerr, the only thing that the Warriors are focused on right now is the fact that Payton will be sidelined for an extended period.
“Doesn't matter. Gary's out for the foreseeable future or weeks. That's the only thing that matters to us,” Kerr said, via Evan Barnes of Yahoo Sports.

Payton was diagnosed with a fractured elbow as well as some ligament damage. The Warriors stud is expected to miss at least three weeks, which effectively rules him out for the Western Conference Finals, should Golden State advance.
This is a tough blow for the Warriors and they will now need to navigate the remainder of the Grizzlies series without one of their key players. This is what Kerr is more worried about right now and he could not care any less about Dillon Brooks.
