The Golden State Warriors suffered yet another spanking at home, this time at the hands of the Los Angeles Lakers in a 127-101 rout on Christmas Day. Head coach Steve Kerr was utterly disappointed with how his team performed, despite having every chance to come back in the game and stake a claim at victory.

“This loss obviously is a smack in the face, and we have to respond to it,” Kerr said after the game, according to Connor LeTourneau of The San Francisco Chronicle. “That’s kind of the name of the game in this league. We need to come in tomorrow, watch the tape, get some work in and get back at it.”

The Warriors found themselves down 15 points by halftime and quickly found themselves down 19 points in the third, but were able to close down that deficit to three points at the wake of LeBron James' groin injury, quickly evaporating the Lakers lead with a 14-1 run, only to see the Lakers stretch it back after a timely Luke Walton timeout.

Golden State misfired from all over the perimeter, as Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson combined for a mere 20 points in the game, making only 25 percent of their 3-point attempts as a team.

The Warriors have now lost by 20 or more points to the Milwaukee Bucks (23), the Oklahoma City Thunder (28), the Toronto Raptors (20) and the Lakers (26), the most 20-point home losses in Kerr's tenure as a coach.
